Oliver Lin has worked in the tech industry since 2011. In 2011, they worked as a Visual Designer at Galaxy Software Services, where they executed all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering, created wireframes, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate, and conceptualized interaction and design ideas. From 2013 to 2015, they worked at Faria Education Group as a Senior Frontend Developer and a Front End Developer, where they took designs and turned them into standards-compliant, cross-browser HTML templates, and programmed interaction with frameworks such as jQuery, Require. js, and Bootstrap. From 2015 to 2018, they worked at Infocast as a Lead Front End Developer and a Front End Developer, where they built an internal analysis and report generating user interface with JavaScript MVC structure via React and Redux, designed and created the company website with parallax effect via middleman framework and Skrollr library, and developed an analysis feature and provided various results visualized via D3 and HighCharts libraries. Since 2018, they have been working at Codementor as a Senior Front-End Developer, where they built an online collaborative code editing feature with Firebase, Firepad, and Monaco editor, implemented several features to enable users to have a better experience on the codementor platform, and refactored internal admin payout and page and flow to increase efficiency for admin users. Oliver also works at Arc.dev as an Engineering Manager and a Front-End Lead, where they lead overall engineering of front-end (6 team members), conducts interviews and keeps refining the interview process to recruit talented front-end developers, and develops Arc features with React and Next.

Oliver Lin obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Graphic Design from National Taiwan Normal University between 2007 and 2010. Oliver also holds a certification in Shaping Up with Angular JS from Code School.
