Alain Watts has worked in the bioinformatics field for over 15 years. Theirwork experience includes roles such as Lab Manager, Senior Lab Manager, Scientific/Clinical Project Leader, Bioinformatician, Bioinformatics Scientist, Informatics Team Lead, and Informatics Manager, Product Development. Alain began their career in 2006 as a Lab Manager at Harvard Medical School. In 2010, they moved to Exosome Diagnostics as a Senior Lab Manager. In 2013, they joined Cambridge Biomedical Inc. as a Scientific/Clinical Project Leader. In 2016, they became a Bioinformatician at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. From 2018 to 2022, they worked at Arc Bio in roles such as Informatics Manager, Product Development, Informatics Team Lead, and Bioinformatics Scientist. Currently, they are an Associate Director of Bioinformatics at Cantata Bio.

Alain Watts obtained a Bachelor of Science in Brain, Behavior and Cognitive studies from the University of Michigan. Alain then went on to complete a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Bioinformatics from Boston University in 2016.
