Angela M. Lam has a diverse and extensive work experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Angela M. most recently worked as the VP of Biology at Arbutus Biopharma Corporation since July 2020. Prior to this, they held the role of Senior Director - Infectious Diseases at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson from May 2017 to July 2020, and Director - Infectious Diseases from December 2015 to May 2017. Angela also worked as the Director of Molecular Virology at Novira Therapeutics from May 2013 to December 2015. Their earlier professional experiences include being a Senior Scientist at Roche from March 2012 to April 2013, and a Senior Research Scientist at Pharmasset, Inc. from 2008 to January 2012. Angela M. started their career as a Staff Scientist at XTL Pharmaceuticals from 2006 to 2008, and prior to that, they worked as a Research Associate Scientist at New York Medical College from 2003 to 2006.

Angela M. Lam earned a B.A. in Molecular & Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley from 1990 to 1994. Angela M. subsequently obtained a Ph.D. in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from The University of British Columbia between 1994 and 2001.
