Tim Stout is an experienced professional in horticulture and plant production, currently serving as the Greenhouse Facilities Superintendent and previously as a Research Associate II at ArborGen LLC since 2003. Tim has expertise in technology transfer and engineering solutions, focusing on the scale-up and commercialization of tissue culture processes for producing varietal and genetically engineered tree seedlings. Prior roles include Research Associate at International Paper, where Tim developed and optimized loblolly pine somatic embryogenesis systems, and Research Associate at Union Camp Corp., specializing in conifer somatic embryogenesis research. Additional experience includes growing and sales at Waldor Orchids and managing orchid collections at Duke Gardens Foundation. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Ornamental Horticulture/Floriculture from Delaware Valley University and an Associate of Science degree in Ornamental Horticulture from Mercer County Community College.
