Harold Hersey has held various positions in the tech industry since 1997. Harold began their career as Technology Director at the New Media Center at the University of Oregon in 1997. In 1999, they were President of Positive Entropy Limited. From 2002 to 2006, they held multiple roles at Lunar Logic, including Director of Core Division and Technical Manager / Developer III. During this time, they were also a Software Engineer at Tesseraction Games. From 2006 to 2007, they were a Student at The Lesson Factory. From 2007 to 2016, they worked at Cengage Learning, where they held the positions of Technical Platform Manager, Delivery Lead, and Lead Engineer. Most recently, they have been a Software Engineer at Aravo Solutions since 2016.

Harold Hersey obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Juniata College in 1993 and a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Oregon in 1997.
