Ernesto Tovar is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in category management, merchandising, and procurement across various sectors, including foodservice and retail. Currently serving as Food Category Director at Aramark since July 2019 and Director of Category Management, Merchandising, Procurement & Global Sourcing at Goody Goody Liquor since 2018, Ernesto has led cross-functional teams and managed large SKU assortments with numerous suppliers. Prior roles include Director of Category Management at El Rancho Inc Supermarket and multiple senior merchant positions at Walmart, where significant sales growth and successful category strategies were achieved. Ernesto began the career as a Product Manager at Bristol-Myers Squibb after earning a Master’s from Purdue University and a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, along with a post-graduate degree in Marketing.
