Steve Pivovaroff has a strong background in waste management and public works. Steve most recently served as the Director of Operations at Athens Services starting in July 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Division Manager-West Valley MRF/Transfer at Burrtec Waste from August 2021 to July 2023. Steve also gained experience as a Division Manager at the City of Moreno Valley from March 2020 to August 2021, and as a Public Works Manager at the City of Covina from January 2018 to March 2020. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Solid Waste Supervisor at the City of Burbank from January 2014 to January 2018.

Steve Pivovaroff obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business Information Systems from DeVry University. Steve completed this degree from 2000 to 2005. Additionally, in February 2002, they obtained a Class A Commercial Drivers License from the California Department of Motor Vehicles, specifically the Lakeport DMV Office.
