Junyoung Kim has worked in the technology industry since 2013. In 2013, they worked as a Medical Specialist for the US Army where they maintained 100 percent accountability of over $6.5M in equipment and took responsibility in 8,000+ US ARMY soldierā€™s physical readiness. In 2016, they worked as a Software Engineer for NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration where they architected on-premises data centers for the SOFIA project and debugged and optimized Mission Control Communication System software, making it 12 percent faster in loading time. In 2018, they joined Booz Allen Hamilton as a Senior Software Engineer-SRE, where they designed High Availability and Fault tolerance Infrastructure for the multi-cloud (AWS and Azure) and hybrid environments, consulted clients on technical concepts including Cloud, DevOps, CI/CD pipeline, and FedRAMP Security Framework, and advised C-level executives for their business decisions. Junyoung also worked as a Software Engineer Mid, where they developed REST APIs for web applications and maintained databases, MongoDB and PostgreSQL, and developed a Security Information and Event Management process for clients to leveraging AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, SNS, Lambda, Kinesis Data Firehose, and Splunk. Junyoung also worked as a Software Engineer, where they developed a cloud defense software on AWS using EC2, RDS, IAM, Docker, Node.js, and Splunk through Agile methodology. In 2020, Junyoung Kim joined Aquatic Capital Management as a Software Development Engineer.

Junyoung Kim attended the University of California, Los Angeles from 2012 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering. Junyoung then attended the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2019 to 2021, where they earned a Master of Science in Cybersecurity-Information Security. In addition, they obtained certifications in AI Programming with Python Nanodegree from Udacity in July 2019, Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate from Amazon in January 2020, and CompTIA Security+ from CompTIA in February 2019.
