Neal Fine has had a successful career in the energy and technology sectors. Neal began their career in 1993 as a Group Manager at Anteon, where they led a team of ten scientists and engineers in the design, test and evaluation of fluid mechanical systems. In 2004, they became Chief Technology Officer at Applied Science Products, Inc., where they oversaw the technical development of the company's three primary technologies. From 2011 to 2015, they were Lead Scientist at Navatek, LTD, where they co-led the establishment of an East Coast satellite office and grew the group from two principals to 25 engineers and scientists. In 2015, they became Founder and CEO of Arctura, Inc., where they were dedicated to securing a sustainable energy future that is affordable, healthy, and accessible. In 2017, they took on the role of Associate Director at the Rhode Island Coalition of Entrepreneurs (RICE), a startup and innovation economy advocacy group in the State of Rhode Island. In 2018, they became Vice Chair and Chair of the WindSTAR I/UCRC Industrial Advisory Board. In 2021, they joined the Board of Directors at 401 Tech Bridge.
Neal Fine completed their high school diploma at Marblehead High School from 1977 to 1981. Neal then attended the University of Rochester from 1982 to 1986, where they obtained a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Geology, and Geomechanics. Finally, they attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1987 to 1993, where they obtained a PhD in Hydrodynamics and Ocean Engineering.
