Shizheng L. has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. They began their career as a Signal Processing Developer Intern at The MathWorks in 2010. In 2011, they joined J.P. Morgan as an Associate in Quantitative Research Analytics, where they stayed until 2013. They then joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch as an Assistant Vice President in Global Market Making from December 2013 to June 2014. From 2014 onwards, Shizheng worked at AQR Capital Management, starting as an Algorithmic Developer in the Global Trading team and later transitioning to roles such as Software Developer, Tech Lead, and Manager in the Trading Engineering department. Their last known role at AQR Capital Management is Tech Lead/Manager, Executive Director, a position they've held since 2023.

Shizheng L. began their education journey in 2003 at Southeast University, where they obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Information Engineering. They then pursued further studies at Iowa State University from 2007 to 2011, earning a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Communications and Signal Processing. Later on, in 2012, Shizheng L. attended New York University's Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences as a part-time non-degree student, focusing on Financial Mathematics for a year.
