Jingyu Liu has a diverse work experience in various financial institutions. Jingyu started their career in 2013 as a Company Shepherd at Deutsche Bank's 11th Annual dbAccess China Conference. Jingyu then worked as a Summer Analyst at Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, where they analyzed financial statements, wrote credit reports, and participated in investment banking services. In 2014, Jingyu worked as an Analyst at Macrolink Group Limited, where they conducted fundamental analysis, used MATLAB to predict price trends, and hedged risks. Jingyu also devised efficient financing methods for real estate projects. In 2016, they worked as an E-Trading Summer Analyst at J.P. Morgan. Since 2017, Jingyu has been working at AQR Capital Management, where they have held roles as a Quantitative Research Analyst, Quantitative Research Associate, Vice President of Risk Management, and currently, as a Vice President of Global Stock Selection.
Jingyu Liu's education history begins in 2005 when they attended The Experimental High School Attached to Beijing Normal University as a Middle School Science Student. They then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Economics degree in Economics and Finance from Tsinghua University from 2011 to 2015. In 2013, Jingyu participated in an exchange program at the University of California, Berkeley, studying Economics for the fall semester. Later, from 2015 to 2016, they attended Columbia University to obtain a Master of Science degree in Financial Engineering.
