Piermichele Kobauri is a Drug Hunter at Aqemia since May 2022, contributing to the development of innovative drug candidates for critical diseases within a rapidly advancing pharmaceutical technology environment. Prior to this role, Piermichele was a PhD researcher at the University of Groningen from March 2017 to May 2022, focusing on rational drug design in photopharmacology. Additionally, relevant experience includes an Erasmus+ internship in medicinal chemistry at the University of Copenhagen in September 2016, and a traineeship at the University of Turin where skills in pharmacophore modeling and synthesis of anti-Leishmanial compounds were developed. Piermichele holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Groningen, a Master's from Università degli Studi di Torino, and a Bachelor's from the same institution, complemented by international education at Universidad de Zaragoza.
