Vinay R. Kamidi has a background in Mechanical Engineering with a PhD and MS from Virginia Tech. Currently, Vinay works as a Sr. Software Control Engineer at Apptronik. Prior to this, Vinay was a Laboratory Technician in the Hybrid Dynamic Systems and Robot Locomotion Lab at Virginia Tech. Vinay also served as a Graduate Research Assistant in the same lab, working on control algorithms for bipedal and quadrupedal robots. In addition, Vinay was a Graduate Teaching Assistant for ME 3524 - Mechanical Vibrations. During a summer internship at BHEL, Vinay gained experience in the fuel handling department and studied Gas turbine design.
