David Avery has extensive experience in marketing and business operations, having worked at several companies throughout their career. David is currently the founder and principal consultant of Optimax Business Consulting, a consulting firm that helps businesses increase productivity and profit. Prior to this, they worked as the head of business operations at AppOmni, VP of marketing and sales operations at WANdisco, and sr. director of marketing operations at Persado. David began their career at Qlik in 2011, where they held various roles such as user enablement coordinator, marketing operations analyst, global marketing operations reporting manager, and director of global strategic analytics. During their time at Qlik, they provided business intelligence analysis and acted as a business consultant to other functions. David is also a Marketo certified expert and internal Salesforce.com expert. In 2018, David was an analytics advisory associate council member at the Villanova School of Business.
David Avery has a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, General from Villanova University, obtained in the years 2009 to 2012. David later earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree specializing in finance, strategic management, and analytics from Villanova University between 2016 and 2018. In 2018 to 2020, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Accounting from Drexel University. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Christian Leadership and Business from Higher Place Christian University in the year 2021. Additionally, David holds several certifications, which include Salesforce Certified Administrator (SCA) from Salesforce, Marketo Certified Expert from Marketo, Certified Member (CM) from American Mensa, and Member - Digital Analytics Association from Digital Analytics Association.
