Jay Pendell-Jones is a highly experienced scientist specializing in chemical and biological defense with a strong background in research and program management. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist at ARA since May 2018, Jay Pendell-Jones focuses on supporting DTRA field testing and research to combat WMD threats. Previously, a Scientist/Program Manager IV at Peraton from January 2004 to April 2018, and holding the title of Scientist IV/Program Manager at Exelis from January 2011 to June 2015, Jay Pendell-Jones managed the Test Grid project, aiming to enhance Army Chem Bio Test Ranges. Early career roles include Spectroscopist IV at ITT Corp., where expertise in optical sensors for CBE defense was developed, and a Post Doctoral Fellow at Army Research Labs focusing on SERS substrate development for biological detection. Jay Pendell-Jones holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Florida State University and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Evansville.
