Abhik Borthakur, P.E. is an accomplished engineering professional currently serving as an Engineering Associate at Applied Pavement Technology, Inc. since January 2020. In this role, Abhik has contributed to the development of Transportation Asset Management Plans for both MnDOT and NJDOT through data analysis and collaborative problem-solving. Previously, Abhik gained valuable experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Illinois Center for Transportation, where research focused on erosion control materials, and as an Engineering Intern at the Illinois Department of Transportation and Airports Authority of India, engaging in roadway and bridge projects. Abhik holds a Master's degree in Transportation Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Surat.
