Obi Ugochuku has over 28 years of work experience. Obi began their career in 1992 as an Investment Analyst at the International Finance Corporation. In 1999, they joined The World Bank as a Financial Officer for the Global Environment Facility, managing an annual administrative budget of USD35 million and a reporting infrastructure of USD2.6 billion in grants. In 2004, they became a National SEEDS Adviser for the Department for International Development (DFID), managing teams of consultants to identify and implement programs that facilitate Nigeria's reform efforts. In 2008, they were simultaneously appointed as Managing Partner at GCA Capital Partners Ltd and Director of Product Management & Development at Applied Logic Ltd. In 2014, they became an I NET BFA Product Partner at Naspers. Finally, in 2020, they joined Refinitiv, an LSEG business, as a Research Partner.
Obi Ugochuku's education history includes a Certificate from edX in Macroeconomics of Climate Change: Science, Economics & Policies (2022), an MBA in Finance from Wayne State University, an Associate from the Chartered Institute of Stock Brokers in Authorized Dealers License, a BSC in Finance from the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, a WASC from Kings College Lagos, and a high school diploma from St Finbarrs College.
