Arvind Pereira has worked in a variety of roles in the tech industry. In 2020, they were an Engineering at Applied Intuition. In 2019, they were the Founder of ampy.us. From 2016 to 2013, they were the Chief Technology Officer at Level and a Data Scientist and Software Engineer at Clover Network Inc., where they worked across the stack and made key contributions to Near Field Communication, Computer Vision/Image Processing, and Systems Engineering. From 2008 to 2006, they were a Lead Software Developer of Grex Interface Module for EU-GREX project at the Institute of Systems and Robotics, IST and a Research Assistant at the University of Southern California. From 2006 to 2002, they were a Student Researcher at the Centre for Embedded Networked Sensing and a Research Fellow at the National Institute of Oceanography. At the National Institute of Oceanography, they designed hardware for India's first Autonomous Underwater Vehicle and wrote the Guidance, Navigation, Control, Communications, and Recovery code. Arvind also developed a Wave-recorder that uploaded wave-data to server via GSM cellular data-modems and designed hardware and wrote autonomy software for the ROSS ASV.
Arvind Pereira completed their education history with a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Southern California in 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Gogte Institute of Technology in 2002. Arvind also obtained a MSEE in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California. Before that, they attended Dr. T.B. Cunha Higher Secondary School from 1996 to 1998 and Sharada Mandir School from 1988 to 1996. Additionally, Arvind Pereira has obtained two certifications, Business Leadership from Harrison Metal in 2019 and General Management from Harrison Metal in 2018.
