Yahia Nazroo is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in dispute resolution and compliance. Currently serving as Partner and Head of Dispute Resolution at Appleby since November 2016, Yahia Nazroo also holds the position of Compliance Officer, responsible for ensuring adherence to the FIAML Regulations and overseeing anti-money laundering and terrorism financing programs. Prior to this, Yahia Nazroo was a Legal Counsel at The Chambers of Gavin Glover from February 2005 to November 2016, and also practiced as a barrister, representing high-profile cases such as counsel for Vikram Bhunjun, CEO of Betamax Ltd. Yahia Nazroo's academic credentials include a Bar Vocational Course from Nottingham Law School, a Master of Laws from the University of Leeds, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Mauritius.
