Gianni P. is an experienced AI/ML Software Engineer specializing in hardware acceleration and high-performance computing (HPC). Currently employed at Apple since July 2019, Gianni P. has made significant contributions to developing the MLCompute framework, enhancing machine learning performance on various Apple devices. Prior to this, Gianni P. worked at ExxonMobil as a Senior C++ Software Engineer, where services were architected for task execution on HPC clusters. Additional experience includes roles at Seismic Exchange, Halliburton, and Schlumberger, focusing on parallelizing seismic processing, developing algorithms for reservoir simulations, and creating interfaces for simulation engines. Gianni P. earned a PhD and an MSc in Computational Science Engineering and Mathematics from the Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences.
