Behrad Toghi is a Senior Research Scientist in the Special Projects Group (SPG) focused on Autonomous Systems at Apple since June 2022. Prior experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Honda Research Institute USA, where efforts were directed towards Autonomous Driving with a focus on ML/RL Prediction & Planning, and as an Autonomous Driving Engineer at Mercedes-Benz Research & Development, specializing in Machine Learning for Behavior Planning. Behrad also served as a Research Intern at Ford Motor Company, concentrating on Collision Avoidance and Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS). Academic qualifications include a PhD in Electrical Engineering from UCF College of Engineering and a PhD Researcher position in the Computer Science Department at Stanford University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
