Rick Buie

Sr. Director, Channel Strategy & Operations at Appfire

Rick Buie has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Rick is currently a Member at Partnership Leaders since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Sr. Director of Channel Strategy & Operations at Appfire, where they led a team focused on scaling the partner business. From 2016 to 2022, Rick held various roles at Amazon, including Sr. Partner Marketing in North America, Head of Global Brand Advertising for Amazon Business, and Sr. Marketing Manager. Rick played a key role in building and scaling partner programs, lead qualification programs, and brand advertising initiatives. Rick also has experience working at Brand Innovators Labs and Adweek, where they served as an Advisory Council Member and CMO Executive Mentee, respectively. Before that, they spent several years at Salesforce, managing campaign operations and running email marketing campaigns for major clients. Rick began their career at Wunderman as an Account Executive, where they worked with clients such as Microsoft and T-Mobile. Throughout their career, Rick has been recognized for their account management skills, work ethic, and ability to build strong client relationships.

Rick Buie attended the SBGE at Seattle Pacific University from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and International Business. In 2007, they also studied Art Studies, Economics, Italian History and Culture, and Italian Language at the American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS) - Richmond In Rome. Additionally, Rick has obtained several certifications, including Salesforce Certified Administrator (SP16) and Salesforce Certified Pardot Specialist. Rick has also completed certifications in the Business Value of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Strategies, and Great Management through Salesforce Trailhead.
