Matthew Kusper currently serves as the Maine Field Coordinator for the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, where responsibilities include liaising between field crews and the office, conducting hazard tree analyses, and providing logistical support in the field. Previous experience includes roles at Saddleback Maine Ski Area as a Ski Patrol Trainee, Lift Operator, and Ski Instructor, as well as a Trail Crew Leader for the Maine Appalachian Trail Club. Matthew has a solid foundation in outdoor leadership, environmental conservation, and customer service through various positions, including Crew Leader for the Southwest Conservation Corps and multiple ski instruction roles at Crystal Mountain Resort. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Planning from Appalachian State University.
