Ann Simonelli currently serves as the Director of Communications at the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, a position held since September 2023. Prior to this, Ann held various roles at The Conservation Fund from October 2010 to August 2023, including Director of Media & Communications, Media Relations Director, and Media Relations Manager. Ann's career began at the National Geographic Society, where multiple positions from 2006 to 2010 included Communications Specialist and Communications Coordinator. Earlier experience includes an internship in the Press Office at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and a Public Affairs internship at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History. Ann holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Public Relations from Susquehanna University, completed in 2006.
