Mr. Cortese joined Apollo in 2021 in Credit and is responsible for its Global Corporate Credit trading. Prior to joining Apollo, Mr. Cortese was Co-Head of US Credit Trading at Barclays, where he spent 13 years. Prior to that, Mr. Cortese was a High Yield and Distressed credit trader at Lehman Brothers from 2002 to 2008.

Mr. Cortese graduated from Dartmouth with a BA degree in Economics and holds a CFA.
