Al Mejia has a strong background in executive leadership and management roles. Al most recently served as the Vice President/General Manager of Thermal Transfer Products at API Heat Transfer. Prior to that, they were a Member of the Board of Advisors at Alea Labs, Inc. Al also has experience as the CEO of Molded Dimensions LLC and as the Vice President and General Manager of Hart and Cooley at Johnson Controls. Earlier in their career, they held leadership positions at Actuant Corporation, Rexnord Industries, Pentair, General Cable, and Andrew Corporation. Throughout their career, Al Mejia has demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, P&L management, and driving growth and profitability in various industries.

Al Mejia has a strong educational background in industrial engineering and business administration. Al obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad del Norte in 1991. In 1993, they pursued a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of Illinois Chicago. Following that, in 2004, they completed an Executive Leadership Program in Marketing/Marketing Management at the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management. In 2013, Al Mejia pursued further education in Strategic Leadership, earning a degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in Business Administration and Management.

In addition to their formal education, Al Mejia has also obtained certifications in Marketing Analytics: Competitive Analysis and Market Segmentation from the University of California, Berkeley in August 2020 and Technology Entrepreneurship: Lab to Market from Harvard University in June 2020.
