Maria Landron is an experienced public health professional with a strong background in global health and biosafety. Currently serving as Lead Specialist in Global Health at APHL - Association of Public Health Laboratories since January 2019, Maria has previously held roles as Senior Specialist in Global Health and a Biosafety & Biocontainment Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Institutes of Health. Additional experience includes working as a Customer/Project Coordinator at Hotwork USA and serving in academic positions such as Research Assistant and Graduate Assistant. Maria holds a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) in Health Services Management from the University of Kentucky, a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico, RÃo Piedras.
