Ben Semmes has extensive experience in renewable energy project development, currently serving as Lead, Project Delivery at Apex Clean Energy since October 2017. In this role, Ben has focused on developing utility-scale wind, solar, battery energy storage system (BESS), and green fuel opportunities within the ERCOT market. Prior to this position, Ben held roles at Apex Clean Energy as Director, Senior Development Manager, Development Manager, and Project Developer. Ben's prior internships include a Public Affairs Intern position at Apex Clean Energy, where Ben presented research to senior executives, and roles at Vermont Energy Investment Corporation, Right Hat, and the American Wind Energy Association, which equipped Ben with valuable skills in public affairs, marketing, and legislative support for clean energy initiatives. Ben holds a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Policy and Managerial Economics from Colby College and is pursuing a Certificate in Financing and Deploying Clean Energy at the Yale Center for Business and the Environment.
