Ernesto Brux has a diverse educational background. Ernesto earned a BS in Electrical & Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso in 1996. Ernesto then went on to pursue two MS degrees from Southern Methodist University, one in Systems Engineering in 2007 and the other in Software Engineering in 2004. In 2009-2011, they attended Defense Acquisition University and obtained two certifications, a System Engineering Level 3 and Program Management - Level 2. In 2017, they began taking courses at The Johns Hopkins University in Data Science and at Georgia Institute of Technology in Health Informatics. In 2018, they started their Diaconate Formation at Mexican American Catholic College in San Antonio, Texas. Ernesto also has several certifications, such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) from 2010 and a number of courses from Johns Hopkins University Advanced Academic Programs and other universities, such as Yale University and the University of Michigan.
