Matthew Duffy is an experienced professional in environmental science and marine monitoring, currently serving as a Marine Mammal Observer (MMO) at Mizen Archaeology since March 2024 and at APEM Ltd as a Hydrographic Scientist since January 2022. At APEM Ltd, Matthew has utilized equipment such as Sontek M9 for hydrographic surveys and managed post-processing of bathymetric data with specialized software. Prior roles include MMOs at IWDG Consulting, where Matthew monitored marine mammal activity during construction projects, and a Seasonal Ecologist position at BW Ecology, focusing on invertebrate population analysis. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from Ulster University, Matthew has also gained valuable experience from various roles, including a placement at Donegal County Council and customer service at Letterkenny Tennis Club.
