Ji Liu is a highly experienced professional in the field of biochemistry and fragrance discovery. Currently serving as Principal Scientist at Apeloa Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd since September 2022, Ji Liu previously worked as a Scientist in fragrance discovery at Givaudan from April 2020 to September 2022, focusing on biotechnology applications in fragrance chemistry. Prior to that, a significant tenure as a Research Biochemist at the National University of Singapore from November 2011 to March 2020 involved structure-guided enzyme evolution, biocatalysis, and the creation of novel enzymes for various chemical reactions. Ji Liu's research began as a Research Associate at Zhejiang University from January 2008 to November 2011, concentrating on enzyme catalysis and screening from microbial genomes. Education includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Microbiology from Zhejiang University, obtained between 2002 and 2007.
