Darren Eng has worked in the software engineering industry since 2015. In 2015, they were a Software Engineering Intern at Northrop Grumman Corporation, where they developed a proof of concept for using GPUs to accelerate platform survivability programs. Darren also worked as a Student Researcher at the UC San Diego Center for Energy Research, where they developed a C program that reads from an HDF5 file and sends input into plasma research programs. In 2016, they returned to Northrop Grumman Corporation as a Software Engineering Intern, where they developed a proof of concept automatic target recognition system for identifying anti air missile systems from a UAV video feed. In 2017, they were a Software Engineering Intern at AppFolio, Inc. and a Student Software Developer at the San Diego Supercomputer Center. From 2018 to 2022, they worked as a Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer at AppFolio, Inc. Currently, they are a Software Engineer at Apella.
Darren Eng graduated from UC San Diego in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Prior to that, they attended Los Altos High School from 2009 to 2013.
