Jeff Cohen has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Jeff started their career as an Electrical Engineer at New York Telephone Company in 1990. Jeff later joined Wilkinson Barker Knauer, LLP, where they worked as an Associate from 1994 to 2003 and then as a Partner from 2003 to 2004. Cohen then transitioned to the Federal Communications Commission, where they held multiple roles, including Deputy Chief of the Public Safety and Critical Infrastructure Division and Senior Legal Counsel in the Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau. In 2010, they became a Counsel at the House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce, where they worked on public safety and spectrum legislation. Currently, Cohen serves as the Chief Counsel and Director of Government Relations at APCO International, advising on legal, policy, and strategic matters and representing APCO before relevant government entities.
Jeff Cohen obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with cum laude honors in Electrical Engineering from The George Washington University, which they attended from 1984 to 1988. Following this, they pursued a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree with honors at The George Washington University Law School, where they studied from 1991 to 1994.
