Simo Hyytinen has extensive experience in high voltage systems and operations, having served as a System Controller at APA Group since April 2015, where responsibilities include outage preparation, real-time operational coordination, and voltage control. Prior to this role, Simo held positions at Powerlink Queensland, including System Operations Engineering Officer, Network Controller, and Secondary Systems Engineering Officer, focusing on outage coordination, network management, and protection relay testing. Simo has also worked as a Project Engineer at Freedom Group and an Electrical Technician at Protech Energy Group, along with an apprenticeship at Tully Sugar Limited. Simo holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Southern Queensland and has completed various short courses at Queensland University of Technology, highlighting a commitment to professional development in power systems and protection.
