Colleen Ladny has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Colleen began their career as a Freelance Medical Illustrator in 2004, collaborating with medical professionals and publishing houses to create accurate and visually engaging illustrations. From 2007 to 2009, they worked as a Large Print Coordinator at Pratt & Whitney, where they operated printing equipment and collaborated with clients and designers.
In 2010, Colleen joined Ricoh/AORN as a Graphic Design Manager, leading the ideation, design, and execution of experiential projects. Colleen also mentored junior designers and established corporate brand standards. Colleen then transitioned to the role of Graphic Designer/Medical Illustrator, where they managed budgets, developed price quotes, and negotiated vendor contracts.
In 2013, Colleen became an Adjunct Professor at the Community College of Aurora, where they provided instruction in Adobe Creative Suite and developed curriculum to align with industry trends. Colleen then joined AORN in 2015 as a Creative Services Manager, collaborating with marketing teams and cultivating client relationships.
Colleen later took on the role of Sr Manager, Creative Services at AORN, where they conceptualized and executed immersive brand activations and trade show booths. Colleen also created and managed the brand design for the organization's annual conference.
In 2023, Colleen assumed the role of Associate Marketing Director, Enterprise Creative Services at AORN. Colleen integrated interactive elements and coordinated website redesign and migration projects.
Currently, Colleen is the Associate Marketing Director, Enterprise Creative and Digital Services at AORN. Colleen fosters an innovative work environment and collaborates with cross-functional teams to align website strategies with business objectives. Colleen oversees the entire website lifecycle.
Throughout their career, Colleen has consistently demonstrated creativity, expertise in design, and the ability to collaborate effectively with teams and clients.
Colleen Ladny holds a Master's degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from Rochester Institute of Technology, which they obtained from 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Medical Illustration from the same institution, completing their studies from 2000 to 2006. In terms of additional certifications, Colleen obtained the Credly Platform Practitioner certification from Credly in June 2022. Colleen also obtained the Credential for Career and Technical Education from the Colorado Board of Community Colleges and Occupational Education in November 2013.
