Szabolcs Biró, PhD, is an accomplished expert in medical device development and clinical research, currently serving as Team Lead for Medical Device Development at AOP Health since August 2021, where responsibilities include establishing a Medical Device Development Team and overseeing regulatory compliance for device development projects. Previously, Szabolcs held roles such as Team Lead in Clinical Development and Medical Devices, and Clinical Development Manager, managing clinical drug development in various therapeutic areas and acquiring orphan designations. Szabolcs co-founded The Brainstorms Scientific GmbH, directing science communication and innovation projects, and served as a Medical Safety Writer at Baxter International Inc. with a focus on drug safety. Academic credentials include a PhD in Cognitive Neurobiology from the Medical University of Vienna, a Master's Degree in Pharmacology from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor's Degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
