Matthew Silverstein

Sr. Mechanical Designer and Production Engineering Lead at AON3D

Matthew Silverstein has been working in various roles since 2009. Matthew began their career as a Robotics and Engineering Mentor at St. George's School of Montreal, where they taught machine shop safety, prototype fabrication, remote control systems and programming, 3D printing, modelling and scanning. In 2012, they became a Waterfront Supervisor at High Point Camp, where they were responsible for camp safety and evacuation plans, as well as teaching and managing Red Cross and Bronze level swim classes. In 2013, they worked as a Campsite Manager at West Coast Connections. In 2016, they took on the role of Mechanical Engineering Intern at PBES, overseeing the mechanical design of large scale industrial marine batteries, their controllers and the racking system. That same year, they became the CSME Concordia Branch President at Concordia University Engineering and Computer Science Association (ECA) and a Freelance Product Designer at Presse 3d Inc. In 2019, they began working as a Sr. Mechanical Designer and Production Engineering Lead at AON3D.

Matthew Silverstein has a comprehensive education background. Matthew attended St. Georges High School from 2004 to 2009, earning a High School Diploma in General. From 2009 to 2011, they attended Marianopolis College and obtained a DEC in Social Sciences. Matthew then attended Concordia University from 2011 to 2014, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Human Geography. Matthew continued their studies at Concordia University from 2014 to 2019, obtaining a Bachelor of Engineering - BE in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering. In 2021, they obtained three additional certifications: SolidWorks PDM Professional Administration from SolidXperts, SIMDUT 2015 from Association sectorielle | Fabrication d'équipement de transport et de machines, and Machine Safety CNESST from Association sectorielle | Fabrication d'équipement de transport et de machines.
