Adrian Muresan Ph.D. has extensive experience in various roles and organizations. Adrian currently serves as the VP of Software Research at AON3D since April 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Vathys as part of the R&D team from March 2020 to February 2021.
From 2016 to 2020, Adrian worked at 3D Hubs, where they held multiple positions. Adrian first served as the Director of Engineering, where they were responsible for the technical vision, department management, and staffing growth. During their tenure, they doubled the size of the engineering department and established a new department structure.
Adrian then transitioned to the role of R&D Lead, where they led the R&D and data teams. In this role, they focused on analyzing and quoting the large number of 3D designs uploaded to the platform.
Before joining 3D Hubs, Adrian founded Printivate, a 3D model repair and optimization platform for 3D printing. Printivate was later acquired by 3D Hubs in 2016.
Prior to their entrepreneurial venture, Adrian worked as a Senior Software Development Engineer at Ullink, a leading electronic trading solutions provider, where they specialized in risk management and implemented new risk mitigation strategies.
Adrian began their career as an R&D engineer at ZettICE, a spin-off company from Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon, where they worked on designing and developing high-level synthesis frameworks for circuit designs.
Adrian also pursued a Ph.D. at Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon, where they focused on resource management for large-scale cloud platforms. Their research involved automatic application scaling and criterion-based deployment on Infrastructure as a Service Cloud platforms.
Additionally, Adrian is a former Microsoft Student Partner, having held the position from 2007 to 2009 at Microsoft Romania.

Adrian Muresan, Ph.D., obtained their Engineering master's degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Cluj Napoca. Adrian pursued this degree from 2004 to 2009. Following this, they attended École normale supérieure de Lyon, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Distributed Computing from 2009 to 2012.
