Helena Barringer is an experienced communications professional with a robust background in public relations and social media strategy. Currently serving as Head of External Communications at ao.com since September 2015, Helena previously held the role of PR Manager. Prior to ao.com, Helena worked as PR and Social Media Manager at GettingPersonal.co.uk, where responsibilities included developing PR strategies, launching products to the press, and managing media relations. Helena's earlier experience includes positions at McCann Manchester as Senior PR and Social Media Executive, and at Cow PR as Senior Account Executive, serving notable clients such as TK Maxx and Burger King. Helena's career began as a Campaign Manager at Independent Media News and as a TEFL Teacher at EF English First. Helena holds a BA (Hons) degree in Media, Culture and Society from Northumbria University.
