Samuel Mwangi is a seasoned professional in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as the Business Development Director for Virunga Power since September 2014, overseeing a portfolio of distributed renewable energy projects in East Africa. Previously held roles include Country Manager, Senior Development Manager, and Projects Engineer, focusing on project development. Prior experience includes working as an Electrical Engineer at SMEC and as a Project Manager specializing in renewable energy systems at Energycom Enterprises Kenya. Earlier career stages featured a role as a Trainee Engineer at SMEC, contributing to the design of electrical components for major engineering projects. Samuel Mwangi holds a Bachelor of Science in Energy Engineering from Kenyatta University, an Extended Diploma in Global Business Management from Exeed College, and is pursuing a Master of Business Administration at the University of South Wales.
