Saumya Jamuar

Saumya Jamuar has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Saumya started their career as a Visiting Scientist at Harvard Medical School in 2013. In the same year, they co-founded Global Gene Corp and served as its Co-Founder and Co-Chief Scientific Officer until February 2022. In 2016, they became an Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School and started working as the Clinical Lead and PI at the Singapore Childhood Undiagnosed Disease Program. In 2018, they joined KK Women's & Children's Hospital as a Senior Consultant and later became the Deputy Director (Clinical) at the Institute of Precision Medicine, also affiliated with Duke-NUS Medical School. In 2019, they became the Inaugral Head of the SingHealth Duke-NUS Genomic Medicine Center. Saumya Jamuar also has editorial experience, as they served as the Editor of "Baby Bear Book, A Practical Guide on Paediatrics" from December 2015 to April 2021.

Saumya Jamuar attended Delhi Public School in India, where they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. Saumya then went on to study at Harvard Medical School, where they obtained a diploma in Human/Medical Genetics. Afterwards, Saumya attended the National University of Singapore, where they earned a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery degree (MBBS) with a focus on Medicine. Prior to their university education, Saumya had completed their A Levels at Raffles Junior College.
