Jan Schrooten is a seasoned entrepreneur and expert in materials science and engineering, currently serving as Co-Founder and CEO of Antleron since November 2014, where the focus is on personalized patient care. Schrooten also holds positions as a Member of the Board of Directors at Medvia, a Board Member at FlandersBio, and is a Mentor at Startupbootcamp, contributing to innovation and collaboration in healthcare and life sciences. Additional roles include Coordinator at RegMed, Co-Founder and Board Member at Bone4Kids, Editorial Committee Member for Advanced Biomaterials and Devices in Medicine, Steering Committee and Medical Engineering Advisory Board Member at ITERA, and Editorial Board Member for the journal Tissue Engineering. Schrooten previously worked as a Senior Research Manager at KU Leuven, where significant work in biomaterials and tissue engineering took place. Academic qualifications include a PhD and Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering, along with a Postgraduate degree in Business Administration from KU Leuven.
