People and Culture Specialist

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented People & Culture Specialist to join our team. This role will play a pivotal part in fostering a supportive, engaging, and inclusive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will support key Human Resources functions, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and policy development, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with employment laws.
What you’ll do:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Support initiatives that enhance employee engagement and foster a positive organizational culture.
- Organize and facilitate training sessions, team-building activities, and culture-oriented events.
- Coordinate and participate in the recruitment process, including; submit online job postings, shortlist candidates and schedule job interviews.
- Assist with new hire onboarding processes including paperwork processing, creating employee records in the HRIS system.
- Working with our third-party vendors to ensure employee updates are made and questions are addressed.
- Support employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and questions, including assistance during open enrollment periods and managing annual health benefit-related filings to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Manage and enhance the global wellness program, including evaluating and implementing competitive benefits and wellness initiatives tailored to the diverse needs of a global workforce.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal benefits regulations.
- Assist with employment verifications and other incoming HR related inquiries.
- Uphold strict confidentiality by managing sensitive employee and organizational information with integrity, discretion, and compliance with legal and company policies.
- Assist with general administrative tasks, including filing, photocopying, and handling mail.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree or completion of at least two years of college-level coursework, plus 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources.
- Strong communication skills written and verbal.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in using office software such as Excel, Outlook and other Office 365 Tools.
- Familiarity with HR software such as BambooHR, Workday, and PandaDoc preferred.
