Tara Dalton Bensen is an experienced Illustration Editor at Annual Reviews since February 2019, and also owns Tara Dalton Bensen Illustration, providing freelance services in various design fields since June 2002. Past roles include Art Coordinator at CTB McGraw Hill, where responsibilities encompassed art development for standardized testing materials, and Artist/Illustrator creating educational illustrations. Tara gained valuable experience as an Art Intern at National Geographic Magazine and as a Web Designer at Dalton Design and Development Group earlier in the career. Educational qualifications include a Graduate Certificate in Science Illustration and a BA in Biology and Art from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Notable clients include National Geographic Magazine, Mirassou Winery, and UCSC’s Center for Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems.
