Rodney Brittingham worked in various roles within the government and non-profit sector focusing on children and family services. From 2000 to 2001, Rodney was a Staff Assistant at the United States Senate before moving on to work as a Legislative Assistant and Task Force Administrator at the Delaware House of Representatives from 2001 to 2008. Rodney then served as a Task Force Administrator for the Majority Caucus at the State of Delaware from 2001 to 2008. Subsequently, Rodney held positions at the Delaware Children's Campaign and the Division of Family Services, State of Delaware, where Rodney eventually became Deputy Director. Currently, Rodney is the Associate Director of the Family Well-Being Strategy Group and the Child Welfare Strategy Group at the Annie E. Casey Foundation.
