Darci Hook's work experience begins in 2001 when they joined the US Navy. Darci served as a Student Naval Flight Officer and later became a Naval Flight Officer from November 2003 to April 2007. From April 2007 to November 2009, Darci worked as a Weapons and Tactics Instructor, where they trained and evaluated squadron aircrew on undersea warfare and weapons tactics. During their time in the Navy, they also completed an Aerospace Physiologist Internship from June 2010 to May 2012. From May 2012 to July 2019, Darci served as an Aeromedical Safety Analyst, where they developed survey analysis on back pain in H-60 helicopter aircrewmen and conducted aviation mishap trend analysis. Darci played a valuable role in addressing safety priorities and reducing human factors-related mishaps within assigned squadrons. Starting in August 2019 until January 2023, they worked as an Aviation Anthropometric Program Analyst, managing an online database and analyzing anthropometric measurements for Naval Aviation candidates and Aviators. Darci made significant contributions to enhancing measurement efficiency and optimizing operational and training readiness through their work on a 4-year, $1.4M AI algorithm-trained Automated Device for Anthropometric Measurement. In December 2022, they also took on the role of Marketing Intelligence Analyst at Annalect. In March 2023, they transitioned to the role of Optimization Analyst, utilizing their expertise in data analysis and optimization strategies.
Darci Hook has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of West Florida. Darci also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from The University of Memphis. In addition to their academic degrees, Darci has obtained certifications in the field of Aerospace Physiology from Aerospace Medicine and Human Performance, and they have completed a Learn SQL Course from Codecademy.
