Wanshun Wong has extensive experience in data science, with a focus on fraud detection and machine learning. Their most recent role was as a Lead Data Scientist at ANNA Money since October 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Jagex from December 2020 to October 2021. Before joining Jagex, they held the position of Senior Data Scientist at Oracle from July 2019 to November 2020.

Wanshun Wong also worked at Featurespace, where they held various roles including Senior Research Data Scientist from January 2019 to June 2019, Senior Data Scientist from January 2018 to December 2018, and Data Scientist from September 2016 to December 2017. They were responsible for creating Worldpay's FraudSight machine learning model, which was featured as a next-generation fraud solution.

Prior to working at Featurespace, Wanshun Wong was a Data Scientist at SnapRapid from November 2015 to August 2016. They also gained research experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Ottawa from July 2013 to June 2015 and at The Fields Institute For Research In Mathematical Sciences from January 2013 to June 2013.

Wanshun Wong pursued their education starting from 2003 at The University of Hong Kong, where they earned their Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Physics in 2006. Following this, they attended UCLA from 2006 to 2012, completing their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Mathematics.
