Jeff Ruster has extensive experience in economic development and workforce strategy, currently serving as the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Assistant Director in the Office of Economic Development for the City of San José since January 2003. Ruster also works as a Small Business and Workforce Consultant for Ann Arbor SPARK, focusing on developing regional workforce strategies. As the Executive Director of work2future, Ruster manages operations for 4,000 clients annually and oversees substantial budgets. Ruster's prior roles include Lead Financial Specialist at The World Bank and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Economic Development at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Ruster holds an M.B.A. in Finance from UCLA and a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science with honors from Stanford University.
