Jodie Lawhorne has extensive experience in communications and public safety roles. Currently serving as a Communications Dispatcher for Town Of Newburgh Police since June 2003, Jodie processes and prioritizes police calls, coordinates police activity, and maintains secure logs. Additionally, Jodie holds the position of Director Of Public Safety at Otakuthon and has been involved with various conventions, including serving as Assistant Department Manager for Katsucon Entertainment, Inc., and Assistant Director of Operations for Anime USA and Arisia, Inc. Previous experience includes over 17 years with the Village of Wappingers Falls Police as a Sr. Police Assistant, as well as roles in medical assistance and childcare. Jodie holds a Bachelorā€™s Degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from SUNY New Paltz and an AAS in Individual Studies from the State University of New York College of Agriculture and Technology at Morrisville.
