Alma Manriquez is an experienced laboratory technician currently working at AnimalBiome since June 2022. Previously, Alma held internships at The Marine Mammal Center, where responsibilities included assisting in marine mammal necropsies, and at the University of California Davis - Veterinary Genetics Lab, focusing on DNA extractions from scat samples. Alma also contributed as a volunteer for the Marine Mammal Stranding Network at the University of California Santa Cruz, responding to marine mammal strandings and collecting data for research. Alma holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, obtained in December 2020.
